The 2007 gold proof Fifty Pence coin was released by the Royal Mint to celebrate 100 years of the Scouts. Only 1,250 of these coins were produced in proof format.
The reverse design was created by Kerry Jones and bears the Scouts motto of ‘Be Prepared’ as well as the World Scout Emblem. Jones has embellished the design with a globe partially visible behind the fleur-de-lis style logo. The Queen’s portrait on the obverse (front) side was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.
This proof 50p gold coin comes boxed with the certificate of authentication.
